Official TEDxTO Logo’s Released
We’ve had good few weeks forming the baseline group of organizers who are helping us put TEDxTO together. In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to a few key individuals and hope to share confirmed details about the location, admission process and speakers. For now, here are our official logos for the event.
Big thanks to our friend and art director, Cam Guest, for designing. In the next week or so, we will also be officially launching the blog with a fresh design. This launch will occur in tandem with a Facebook group to really get word out about the event.
For those of you who have been following for a while, please continue to forward your ideas on speakers – we love them and will continue to look towards the group to help define the event. Feel free to comment, email or Tweet your ideas on our TEDxTO Twitter account.
As well, the people at TED have confirmed that Toronto is going to be the official ‘beta’ test for a live Webcast. Because our event is limited to 100 people, we wanted to be sure that anyone who wanted to watch the conference via the web had the chance and details for how to do so will come out closer to our September date.
Thanks for all your support so far and we will update you all soon!
Really excited about this! Would be very interested in volunteering to help out in any way I can.You suggest looking for a theme. I think, especially what’s happening in Toronto these days and the push to reinvision the city that something like Future Cities would be a good theme to organize around.
We were going to do the same thing. Happy to help out with energy and ideas.Graham WestwoodCEO ProCarta
I would recommend Mark Surman, (Chair of the Mozilla Foundation). He did a great talk at the City of Toronto's Web 2.0 conference called "The City that Thinks Like the Web", so I can attest that he is a good speaker.
